A Picture of My Life

I saw this picture in a magazine, with the quote underneath it, and I loved it. It's the story of my life.....my life for the past 17 years.  I'm so glad that I saw it and smiled.  I love my life and as I get older and my older children get older, I realize how fast this time goes by.  I'm so thankful that God has given me such an incredible job and that it just "fits" who I am.  I think as we embrace where God has put us, embrace how God has made us, and really "own it" then we are happier and more content.  Days as a Mom with young children, can be daunting, but isn't it great too?  Don't you just identify with her in the picture?  I think the fact that it's set in the 50's or 60's, makes it even more enduring.  We Moms have been doing this thing called mothering for a long time.  And while it may look different at times in the modern world, it is still mothering.  And as the quote says, we do it all.  I could list another 100 job descriptions right along with what was written.  Well, this is me mothering below......enjoying my little guy before he grows up too fast...The School of Making People, with God's help is really fun!

  1. You put it so well. Time does go by rapidly. The more children I have the more I cherish each one. The older they get the more I appreciate the little ones and all their sweetness.

You look GREAT and that little bundle is precious!

  2. I've been reading your blog for a while now, but having recently gotten back into blogging myself I thought I'd come out of stealth mode and say hi... so "Hi!". :)

I originally found your blog searching for parent's with "extra special" children. (My 5 year old niece has Down's.) ...anyway your's caught my eye and I've been a fan ever since. :) Plus, you vacation in the Poconos (where I grew up)...what's not to love about that. :)
