"Take time out of your busy life to make memories!"
I said this to myself this week and with Anna back from Colorado and school not yet started, we did just that. My mother will soon be 78 and you just never know how much longer you will have with your loved ones. My mama is a real southern belle and she loves afternoon high tea at nice hotels. I hadn't ever taken my younger 2 girls to a high tea and it had been over 6 years since we had been. It was a nice afternoon.....no boys, no toddlers, live harp music, cherishing each other, wonderful food and beautiful surroundings. I think I'm going to make it a yearly event with my girls......it seems to ease the sad August goodbyes when college starts back-up.
We had 4 different types of tea. This hotel didn't have the antique teapots that we are used to but some really cool modern ones.
My darling Anna looking so grown-up.
Caroline at 10 years old really appreciated it. She had been before as a baby.

How fun! I think I should take my girls when my mom is visiting. and When did your girls get so grown up?

ReplyDeleteA great way to portray such an endearing experience. Just goes to show how one should never forget their families regardless of how busy they are. Inspiring and beautiful.
